About Our 2010 Sustaining Sponsorship Program

Since the Central Florida Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council was chartered in 2004, our Chapter’s phenomenal growth has paralleled the increased momentum and visibility that sustainable green building and design has experienced all over the world. Our Chapter’s growth is the direct result of the support received from our membership and our business community, whose generosity has only been matched by their passion and advocacy for sustainable growth.  As a part of this community, we thank these sponsors for their contributions that have enabled our Chapter to grow!

Our 2009 Sustaining Sponsors help to promote and support sustainable green building practices in Central Florida by helping our Chapter to provide programs and networking opportunities that benefit our members and our local community. A portion of the funds received from our Sustaining Sponsors are used to pay for the Chapter’s annual overhead and operating expenses. The balance of the Sustaining funds are used to support the ongoing programs hosted by the Chapter, including:

• Monthly general membership meetings with guest speakers and Board of Directors meetings
• Educational seminars with keynote speakers and expert panelists
• Networking socials to help connect our members and local businesses with each other
• Tours of local LEED projects
• Our chapter website
• LEED Technical Review Workshops
• The paperless chapter newsletter distributed to members, member companies, and available at our website
• Annual college and Greenbuild delegate scholarships
• Emerging Green Builders of Central Florida for college students and new graduates
• Paperless eBulletins apprising members of important upcoming news and events

Above and beyond the regular ongoing programs, the Central Florida Chapter hosts several special events throughout the year. Annual special events include:

• Chapter Recognition Dinner
• Chapter Golf Tournament
