USGBC-CF

 Welcome to LEED for Homes

Director:  Paul Nutcher at homes@usgbc-cf.org or 407-579-8683

Committee: John Riddle, Deborah Green, Mary Moltzan

Quick Facts: There are 1,557 certified LEED Homes in the United States, 9075 registered, and 38 providers. (Source: USGBC)

HOW TO GET STARTED:

The first step in LEED Homes Certification is to find your local Provider, which will eventually send the builder’s  submittals to the panel of judges at the USGBC National Headquarters in Washington, D.C. for possible certification of the building.  The LEED Homes Provider in your area is the best place to find a field agent — or sometimes called a green rater. This is the individual who assists the builder with the durability checklist and then inspects the home during construction (prior to installation of the interior walls), collects the submittals on behalf of the builder and then goes to the Provider with the documentation.
