Remodeling for Water Efficiency: Save money and reduce stormwater problems through water efficiency renovations. A FREE program from the USGBC Central Florida Chapter LEED for Homes Committee. USGBC LEED for Homes committee has organized Central Florida’s water conservation event of the year, a free 2-hour workshop. Learn how to save on your water bill through indoor and outdoor retrofits, including landscape updates. Rain barrels, gutter systems, and cisterns save water as well as help you reduce stormwater runoff, and rain sensors and other smart controllers save water and money on your irrigation system. Find out about upcoming stormwater regulations and how they will impact you, where to obtain water efficiency rebates, how to select most water efficient fixtures, and how to calculate pay back for fixtures being replaced.
